photographER + EDUCATOR

Hello friend, I'm Kelly and I am so happy you are here! I abandoned my career as an OT to pick up a camera and follow my heart. I love the east coast and am fuelled by coffee, pizza and red wine. I am a wife, a mom and a lover of rescue mutts. I go adventuring in the summer and I hibernate in the winter. I blog about photography, business and all things inspirational.

They did their first school project together in grade 8. They have the same name. They competed with each other for the highest grade in high school. I was like a kid on Christmas morning when the latest issue of The Maritime Edit had arrived in our mailbox. I couldn’t wait to get home and read that thing from start to finish. This magazine is an incredible resource for east coast Canadians and fans of the east coast of Canada. Inside you’ll see […]

This is Felice. She’s a culinary teacher, recipe creator, and private caterer. On the side, she works at the Robertson in Rothesay, and she’s currently pursuing her Interprovincial Certification as a chef. She is by all definitions a total GIRL. BOSS. Obviously, I needed to ask her some questions because, inspiration for days! Me: Felice, what are […]

Set up camera, enter photo subject, position subject, snap photos, show subject the photos, cue photo subject’s self-deprecation monologue. Next, the photo subject is back in front of the camera, pointing his […]

From the moment I met Jenny ten years ago, I knew we were kindred spirits. I mean, she loves living in Saint John new Brunswick, she has a special place in her heart for all things furry and an obvious passion for photography. Her romance with her surroundings: her world and the people and things in […]

It is a rare gift when a photographer finds herself before a naturally affectionate and photogenic couple (or family) for a portrait session. If this happens, be sure to give a silent thank you to the Photography Gods and carry on snapping away. If you’ve been photographing people (regular everyday people, not trained models), by […]

There were audible gasps as Gillian descended the regal staircase at Shadow Lawn Inn. From the corner of my eye, I saw Chris snap a quick one from his phone, one of those emotional split-second moments I am certain he wanted to preserve forever. Afterwards, I heard him say to her, “Look at you, how’d I get […]

In the air, there was a chill, but Katherine and Mike’s love is happy and warm! The BelleIsle Bay is so incredibly scenic, we are lucky to have so many beautiful photo locations in this part of the world. Even better, the U-Cut Christmas Trees owners welcomed us with a fresh homemade […]

Headshots aren’t just for actors anymore. A headshot (or professional portrait) is the way you present yourself to the world, potential employers, clients, friends and family, and beyond. Since the rise of social media, audiences are vast and your headshot is the first impression you give to the people that find you online. If you […]
