For me, this aaallll started with a $600 camera that I bought on eBay. Since then, I've spent A LOT of time sourcing the perfect gear, from beginner cameras and lenses, to top of the line professional grade gear. I have also wasted a lot of money over the years buying things that were of poor quality or things that I simply didn't need.
